Orange Magazine: The Art of Romero Britto

For Orange Magazine, I interviewed the famous Brazilian artist Romero Britto. An Austin art gallery featured his colorful work for nine days. Even though he was pretty busy meeting his fans, he talked about his past and his love for bright colors.

"Britto says his painting style does not fit into one genre— his style is his own. “It’s colorful and happy,” Britto says. The artist, who never went to art school, started painting around the age of eight. As a kid, he loved Picasso’s works and the colors of Matisse. "
